Diesel Shop Assistant (Porter)

William Dedicated is looking to hire a motivated Shop Assistant to maintain our Fleet of Trucks & Trailers. Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in maintaining the building, area grounds, truck washing/detailing, and equipment in clean, orderly functional condition. Assists drivers and other employees as necessary.

Shift:

• First Shift
  • Monday – Friday
  • 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Duties & Essential Responsibilities:

• Ability to safely drive Semi-tractors in and out of the wash bay and throughout the yard (CDL not Required)
• Work with power wash machine to detail/clean trucks.
• Work with truck washing chemicals
• Ensure that buildings and grounds are neat, clean, clutter-free, and safe.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and using industrial cleaning equipment to clean floors and shop areas.
• Lawn maintenance
• Fix or repair general maintenance issues such as broken locks, wall damage, etc.
• Replace light bulbs & air filters
• Install equipment as needed
• Move, relocate, repair company equipment

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Clean driving record
• Due to the safety-sensitive nature of this position, applicants must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
