Business Education Presentation: The New U.S. Corporate Transparency Act - What do Businesses and Non-Profits Need to Know?
Presenter: Nate Hinch, Meyer-Capel
The Corporate Transparency Act (CTA) is a new federal law that took effect this year. The CTA requires non-exempt companies to file with the U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) to report who are the owners/beneficial interest owners of the company. The law potentially affects millions of small businesses across the U.S. and not all non-profit organizations are exempt from the CTA. This program will help explain the CTA and enable attendees to determine whether the CTA applies to them, and if so, what do they need to do to comply with the new law, and when.
