The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Month-End and Year-End Close: Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts, preparation of journal entries, and resolution of discrepancies.
Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and promptly.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Provide insightful reports and recommendations to management for informed decision-making.
Compliance and Controls: Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing recommendations for adjustments as needed.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging accounting standards.
Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior accountants or accounting staff. Provide guidance and support in their professional development and performance.
Ad Hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as required, including system upgrades, process enhancements, and other finance-related tasks.

qualifications:
