Heartsaver CPR/AED/First Aid is a first responders course. It is for anyone who wants to learn basic CPR and First Aid skills and is also approved by DCFS for day care providers. Participants will be taught cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), how to provide breaths with a barrier device, how to relieve an airway obstruction and how to use an AED (automated external defibrillator), along with the basic principles of first aid. Certification is valid for two years. This class is not intended for healthcare professionals. A CPR/AED/First Aid certification card will be emailed after successful completion of the hands on first aid skills and manikin practice.
About the Instructor:
Garry Fulk is the owner/instructor for CODEBUSTERS in Normal, IL. Garry has many years of experience as a volunteer firefighter, EMT, Paramedic and CPR Instructor. He also worked for 26 years at a major employer based in Bloomington, IL where he developed, designed, and delivered computer software & hardware, customer service, and leadership training. Garry’s audiences included call center representatives to executive leaders.
The combination of wit and life experiences provides Garry the tools, as well as knowledge to deliver CPR and First Aid Training in a unique and engaging fashion.
