Join Rachel Kobus, associate director of alumni engagement at Illinois State, as she shares tips and tricks on preparing and presenting and the do’s and don’ts of public speaking.
Bio:
Rachel Kobus joined the Alumni Engagement office at Illinois State in 2015, and currently serves as an associate director, overseeing all communication and marketing efforts. Prior to this role, she served as marketing and public relations coordinator at Sauk Valley Community College and as marketing/assessment coordinator for Illinois State’s University Housing Services
Kobus is active within the community, serving in various roles for the Association for Women in Communication Bloomington/Normal chapter, currently as president-elect. She graduated from the Leadership McLean County program in 2017 and now serves the co-chair for LMC’s Leaders on Loan initiative. She has received ISU’s Emerging Leader 2019 Award and Sauk Valley Community College’s 2019 Alumni Achievement Award.
She received her Bachelor’s in 2009 and Master’s in 2011 from Illinois State University’s School of Communication.
